Which no-code tools work best?
Every no-code platform that publishes to an HTTPS URL is compatible. Lovable and Bubble both produce full PWA-ready apps with service workers, so offline mode and push notifications work out of the box. Webflow and Framer export fast, static sites that wrap perfectly into lightweight apps. Softr and Glide generate data-driven apps backed by Airtable or Google Sheets — ideal for internal tools or directories. Even WordPress, Wix and Squarespace sites can be turned into store apps. Android and desktop from one URL
With a single URL you can produce both a mobile Android app and desktop software for Windows, macOS and Linux. The Android build generates a signed .aab for Google Play plus an APK for sideloading. The desktop build creates a native .msi installer for Windows, a .dmg for macOS, and an .AppImage for Linux — all published to GitHub Releases, the Microsoft Store, the Snap Store or Flathub. No separate codebase, no platform-specific knowledge.
What happens under the hood
When you submit your URL, the build engine validates your web app, detects its icon, colors and manifest, then wraps it into a native container. On Android, the app uses either a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) or a Capacitor shell — both run your web app at full speed inside a system browser engine, with the address bar removed. On desktop, a lightweight system webview renders your site as a standalone window. The output is a signed, store-compliant artifact — ready for review without any manual configuration.
No-code vs native: an honest comparison
A wrapped no-code app installs, launches, and receives push notifications exactly like a native app. It gets its own icon on the home screen, appears in the app drawer, and can be reviewed on Google Play. Can I update my app after publishing?+
Yes. Submit a new build with the same package name and your existing keystore is reused automatically. Google Play treats it as an update, not a new app.
Do I need a Google Play developer account?+
Only if you publish to Google Play. It costs a one-time 25$ fee from Google. For desktop stores like GitHub Releases, no account is needed.
